PixelSense Secure Transfer was the senior design project I worked on with 4 other fellow students. We were tasked with creating a device that could use light to transfer data to and from a Microsoft PixelSense table, since the touch screen of the PixelSense used infrared light to detect touch. We built an Arduino based device that had multiple phototransistors to read data from the table using light, and had multiple infrared LEDs to send bits to the table that it could read. This device was connected to an Android tablet which provided/interpreted the data. To show this capability off, we modified a Blackjack game that played on the table to interpret commands from the tablet as well as store and update the chip count on the tablet.

I worked on the Arduino programming of the device, implementing code that would read light from the table through phototransistors and convert it to bits, as well as working on the hardware design/build. In addition, I was the team lead, responsible for maintaining the project plan and making any final decisions for the group if needed.
